In cooperation with Palestine University_ South branch_ and The National Society for Democracy and Law conducted an awareness workshop entitled :”The legal mechanisms for the preservation of marital rights”, more than 35 students attended the workshop. This activity came within the activities and events of Save her Rights Campaign, which has been launched in March 2019 under  “Providing Legal Aid Services to Vulnerable Groups in Rafah” through” Sawasya II”, Joint Program of the United Nations Development Program, the United Nations Women’s Fund and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF): Promoting the Rule of Law in the State of Palestine.

Mr. Ismael Kuhail” Director of Administrative Affairs Branch” opened the meeting, welcomed the participants and thanked the Association for its activities and the interest of awareness of university students in order to reach a society of justice.

The meeting started by Soad Al-Mashani,”Legal Clinic Lawyer,” welcomed the attendees again and introduced  the Association and Sawasia II program and the objectives it seeks to achieve. Al-Mashani also talked about the legal clinic and the project implemented by the Assembly and the most important goals and activities it seeks to achieve.

Al-Mashani  also discussed the role of youth in defending the rights of vulnerable groups, especially women, and clarifying the methods of organizing marriage contract and preserving the rights resulting from it, highlighted the legal problems that occur during the marriage and the types of marital rights, and talked about mechanisms and ways to preserve marital rights and promote concepts based on respect for these rights.

At the end of the meeting, the discussion and interventions were allowed and all legal inquiries were answered and recommendations made.
