National Society for Democracy and Law (NSDL) opened “Save her Rights” Mural, which was drawn in Gaza University – Southern Region. This activity came within the activities and events of Save her Rights Campaign, which has been launched in March 2019 under  “Providing Legal Aid Services to Vulnerable Groups in Rafah” through” Sawasya II”, Joint Program of the United Nations Development Program, the United Nations Women’s Fund and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF): Promoting the Rule of Law in the State of Palestine

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Yahya Al-Abadla, the representative of the University of Gaza- South Branch, Dr. Ashraf Abu Mustafa, an academic at the university, other academic and administrative figures, Mrs. Olfat Al-Bareem, a board member of NSDL, the staff of NSDL and a number of university students.

During the opening ceremony Mr. Belal Al-Najjar, a lawyer of NSDL, made a speech on  the nature of the campaign and the nature of the issues that the campaign focus on and its importance to Palestinian society. At the end of his speech, he  thanked the Gaza University for hosting this activity and its efforts to ensure the success of the activities and events of the campaign.

Then, Mrs. Suad Al-Mashni, lawyer of the Legal Aid Clinic at NSDL, spoke about the activities and projects carried out by NSDL, specially issues of the marginalized groups in the Southern Governorates. At the end of her speech, she thanked “Sawasya II” program, NSDL and Gaza University for their efforts to make this activity successful

After that, Mr. Al-Abadala thanked NSDL for their cooperation with the University and welcomed any cooperation that would serve women, especially the vulnerable groups.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants opened the mural and Mr. Al-Najjar explained it.
