The Palestinian Center for Human Rights in cooperation with the National Association for Democracy and Law – Rafah, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, closed a training course in the field of human rights learning and democracy, with the participation of 22 members and volunteers representing a number of active community institutions in Rafah. The Center’s long-term efforts to spread the culture of human rights among civil society employees and develop their human rights skills. The session was held in the training room of NSDL, from 17-20 / 2/2019, for 4 days (20 hours training).

The course included many topics that correspond to the needs of the target group on the concepts of human rights and democracy, including: the approach based on the culture of human rights, the International Bill of Human Rights with its three components (the universal declaration of human rights, the international covenant on civil and political rights, and the two additional protocols), the fundamental rights of women in accordance with CEDAW, the International Convention on child rights, political participation, as well as mechanisms for monitoring and documenting human rights violations and fundamental concepts of international law Human rights, and the principle of the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary.
