National Society for Democracy and Law (NSDL) strongly disapproves the terrorist blast that targeted the Major General Tawfeeq Abu Naeem, the commander of the security forces. Abu Naeem was slightly-to-moderately injured and consequently stayed at hospital for a couple of days.
According to the information available in the field research unit of the organization, the white Honda Tusan vehicle of the Major General, Tawfeeq Abu Naeem, exploded in Al-Nusyrat camp at 1:30 pm while the worshipers were going out from Abu Al-Haseen mosque after doing Friday prayers. Someone had already planted explosive devices before Abu Naeem headed to his car. As a result, he had some slight-to-moderate injuries in different places of his body. Hence, he was transferred to Shuhadaa Al-Aqsa hospital and then immediately to Al-Shefaa hospital. Not to mention that the 26-year-old citizen, Khaled Abu Hjeir was injured with some shrapnel in his right foot when he was in the same place at the very moment of explosion.
NSDL condemns the incident and warns that such a terrorist action might be repeated. In addition, it calls the prosecution to make some quick and serious investigations to find the offenders and extradite them to justice.
NSDL emphasizes that such terrorist acts are always considered as a dangerous and direct source of threat towards the rule of law and the stability of the society. Thence, the entire Palestinian society should stand against them.
NSDL hopes that both Abu Naeem and Abu Hjeir will get well soon.
