National Society for Democracy and Law conclude a training session under the title “Strengthening the capacity of young lawyers in the defense of rights and women’s issues” By (60 training hours) within the strengthening of the role of lawyers in the defense of women’s issues in the southern Gaza Strip project, which is implemented by the National Society for Democracy and Law support and funding from (UN Women). the training was Targeted 22 an advocate of Rafah and Khan Younis

The first day of the training speak about “Skills to provide legal counseling and communication skills”. The second one was focused on “personal status law and the law of the family and the rights of the Palestinian labor law and its applications in the Palestinian context” . The third day was speaking about the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights and The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR). the fourth day was about “Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and the announcement of the elimination of violence against women in 1993 and Security Council resolutions 1325 and 1888 and 1889″ the fifth day Been addressed several topics most important “The legal system in Palestine and the formation of courts and types”, the sixth day has been speaking about “pressure and advocacy skills in women’s rights,Methods and skills of media awareness of women’s rights campaigns”.

At the end of sixth day of the training ,Dr.Ibrahim Mouamar the chairman of NSADL, spoke welcome to Ms. Areej ALashab”Coordinator of UN Women projects in the Gaza Strip” for her attend and thanking UN Women (UN Women) on the support provided by them to implement the project activities, and also he thanks the trainer Mohammed Natour, lawyers trainees on their commitment to the training course.

Ms. Areej ALashab also spoke about UN Woman and the nature of the project funded and implemented by it, she also thanked the NSDL for their effort in the implementation of project activities , and at the end of her speech she thanked the lawyers trainees on entrepreneurship in the delivery of legal services to vulnerable groups.

At the end of the training day , certificates were distributed to the trainees.
