The National Society for Democracy and Law (NSDL) ended the third stage of the project, which is conducting a series of legal awareness raising sessions in Feb. 05th, 2015 to end in March 19th, 2015.
The team of the project conducted 16 legal awareness raising sessions targeted 459 females and 41 males, while the majority was university graduates.
These sessions had been conducted in the coordination with several organizations work in varied fields.
Participants and attendance have been taught information and skills works on enhancing human rights values, specially women’s and children’s rights values. The most important subject of the sessions as follows:
The most important international conventions and charters.
Protection of Women in Armed Conflicts.
Protection of Children in Armed Conflicts.
Training method had been varied, based on the needs of the training. The main training methods used are: brainstorming, role play, case study, group working, PowerPoint presentations, and discussion.
Mr. Mohammed Abu Ghali, project coordinator, opened the legal awareness sessions welcoming the attendance and talking briefly about the project and its main objectives that include raising the awareness in protection of women and children in armed conflicts in the Gaza Strip.
