NSDL organized a round table about the democratic system in Palestine

recommended activists and representatives of civil society institutions and
media of the importance of activating the democratic system in Palestine and the
peaceful handling of the elections, and activating the role of youth in the
democratic process and respect the choices of the Palestinian people, and the
importance of concentration of efforts in a peaceful manner in order to bring
about changes in Palestinian democracy and the placement of the parties to the
dispute to the acceptance of a fair election as well to
support the holding of presidential and legislative elections on time.
This came during a roundtable organized by the National
Assembly for Democracy and Law in cooperation with the Palestinian Center for
Human Rights, entitled "Where are we in Palestine, democracy real" this morning
at the Assembly Hall in Rafah with participation media and political analyst
Imad Mohsen community activist Salah Abu Hatab and media Salah Abu Salah and
Executive Director of the National Assembly Ahmed Abu pawns and media Ayman
Salama in the presence of representatives of organizations of civil society and
journalists.
At the beginning of the meeting, welcomed the Ahmed Abu
pawns in attendance and praised the cooperation with the Palestinian Center for
Human Rights, noted that this meeting comes within a series of meetings the
association plans implemented in cooperation with the Palestinian Center for
Human Rights in order to activate the system of democracy and promote human
rights and citizenship in the Palestinian society.
Speaking on the
developments of improved democratic system in Palestine, until the present time
and the decline of the democratic system in Palestine and the importance of
agreeing on the holding of elections in both parts of the country so as to
standardize the system of democracy.
For his part, Abu Hatab, speaking on the foundations of
democratic and liberal democracy, human rights and the accumulation of political
rights, economic, social and the difference between the rigid religious
authority and accept the changes and development of.
For his part, spoke Salah Abu Salah Islam is a
democratic system since growing up and what's happening right now around the
dictatorial regime by the erroneous application of the debt, which resulted in
the perception of Islam as a religion and a fundamentalist terrorist.
